Care to join?
Are you interested in becoming a member of our department? In doing so, you'll be joining one of the most challenging occupations available today. The risks and commitment level with fire suppression and EMS are great, but the rewards can be equally high.
Many of our volunteers bring complimentary skills to our organization from their full-time jobs as flight medics, healthcare professionals, military firefighters, ski patrollers and backcountry guides. We have an incredible team of individuals who all bring something unique to our fire house.
Here's how to get started...
The Application Packet
The best way to get started is to just come to the fire station during regular business hours and introduce yourself. We'll provide you with an application packet which will serve as your guide during the application process. You must submit a completed application packet and meet the minimum requirements to be considered for a position. If accepted, you'll join as a probationary member ("Probie").

Probationary Period
Upon acceptance into the department as a Probie, you can begin on-the-job training. We hold mandatory weekly training every Tuesday, from 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm at the Fire Station. You will also be required to perform a minimum number of call shifts each month. There is additional training throughout the year for EMS and Firefighter certifications, which you may be able to participate in.
